For Jim, a 92-year-old war hero who was wounded in battle three times, caring for animals is the most rewarding career of all. After starting the Saint John Ambulance Therapy Dog Movement 50 years ago in Ontario, Canada, he never stopped dedicating his time to animals in need. But in all that time, he never got to visit a zoo.

The staff at one Ontario zoo decided to make that dream come true one day by inviting Jim in for an afternoon of fun.

How cute was he with that lion cub? It doesn’t get better than that, folks. War vets devote their lives to serving others, so it’s important that we always give back.
