Between 1972 and 1978, John Wayne Gacy, otherwise known as the “Killer Clown,” murdered 33 teenage boys and young men. The majority had been strangled.
Gacy hid 26 of the bodies in the crawl space of his home, and disposed of the others on his property and in the nearby Des Plaines River. In 1980, he was sentenced to death for his crimes, and spent 14 years awaiting lethal injection on death row.
In 1990, Gacy was interviewed by CBS. Listen as he unbelievably refers to himself as the “34th victim.”
I can’t even process what he just said. There have been a lot of heinous serial killers over the years, but Gacy was definitely one of most twisted.
